Ridge upon ridge of forest occupies our area. Hundreds of miles of hiking trails as well as Norris Resevoir with more than 700 miles of shoreline make us a wonderful place to settle. Chuck Swann Wildlife management Area is known for its diversity of plant and animal life. The beauty of our ancient mountains, and the quality of our Southern Appalachian mountain culture, this is the place to raise a family.
Our small community schools still have that small town atmosphere. Teachers still call parents by their first names and students are never numbers. While we are small town America, ample resources have been spent on our schools. From a one to one technology initiative to our unparalleled security, we embrace the future.
Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park (30 minute drive) we are a great place to visit. We are a better place to put down roots.
